My mother just got out of the hospital after 16 days from her surgery. They sent her home with one time a day nurse care and
she needs more. Her colostomy stoma is not working right, it is caving in due to her being a larger woman. She also has one for her urine too and that one is also having problems. They are talking revision surgery?
Her bags are the disposable bags that the nurse changes like every other day or so and they the smell is bad from them.
They are talking of moving her from home to a specialty hospital due to her massive wounds...they wanted me to change them and clean them once a day but I just couldn't stand the sight of them. They are very deep.
Any suggestions on what we can do right now for her? It is sad that they released her from the hospital home to nobody and I am having a very hard time dealing with this.

I use Permanent Conventec good for 1 week, u only wash
the bag, put a drop of clorox, zonrox or whatever to
get rid of the smell then hang it inside the bathroom
do not used detergent soap or do not dry under the
sun. I tried to use disposable but to much hussle
everytiime you discharge you have to removed it from
the skin and to painful. You also put a little
mouthwash inside the bag to avoid odor.
Anytime you need an advice please do not hesitate to
email me.
Thanks,
Angelo
