Fwd: Your "bum" reaction   Message List

Hi Ben: I'm a senior guy living in northeastern New Jersey, USA, and I had a
permanent colostomy 12 years ago where, due to cancer, my rectum was removed
along with about a foot plus --close to 1/2 of a meter. Yes, my rear was
closed, probably bysome stitching and maybe some skin grafting. I don't
remember having any leakage, but I do remember being in the hospital for about a
week. Then after going home and sitting up, especially at the dining table, I
was very sore and had to sit on a pillow. I don't remember for how long before
I could dispense with the pillow. Yes, your sore "bum" will heal, but as they
say, "Time heals all wounds," but I can't say what amount of time it will be for
you. Lots of luck to you........ .............................Ken Berglund
