In 1980 I had ulcerated colitus on and off for 13
years. I am now 53 years old. Have been in law
enforcement since 1978. I was sick of being sick. I
had a ileostomy in 1980. That was the best thing that
had happened to me. Never sick now. Just eat too much.
Now that I can without pain. Spouse support is very
important. The down time was kind of rough but it was
because I was so sick before operation. You are scared
of doing everything and you dont have to be. As you
can tell by what I do for a living that I got over the
scared real fast. And if you dont want to tell anyone
about your operation you dont have to its totally up
to you. If you would like my wife's e-mail address to
ask her in person just let me know.
