Re: [colostomy] advice and info.

Sherry,

I understand your concern and yes this is a scary thing to anyone.  There are several things you should know about colostomy consideration.  I am John and am in my early forties.  Each case is by its own merit and only the person who makes the decision feels the burden of responsibility.  First, it's no bad in comparison to what we use to put up with.  The frequent bathroom stops, accidents, going places and not eating while everyone else is .  The concern of where the bathroom is every place you go and all along the trip.  The constant worry about going to the bathroom, excuses, all in all, this way (colostomy) is far better.  I ride my motorcycle all over the country, do things everyone else does, not even think about using the bathroom while out.  Your spouse is another issue.  I can only speak for my bride and her way of coping.  She states it is really not a big issue, for the most part it is undetectable.  Now in those intimate moments, I use a tube top like girls wear to cover their unmentionables and it works out great.  Always remember true love conquers all.  Last, make sure that you have several opinions from specialists in gastrointerology prior to making that decision.

With warm regards,

John
