Also - my husband uses disposable bags - they don't hold very much, but they are
gentle on his skin (they are cloth outside) -which is why he has to empty it
one or more times a day - he can't just throw them away every time, 'cause our
insurance won't cover that! He throws it away once a day - and just rinses &
reuses the times he empties it.

My husband recently got a colostomy (hopefully to be reversed in July). He uses
a two piece system & empties it at least once a day - sometimes more - varies
with what he eats, how much, how often, etc. ...............
