Hi ostomates,

    Has anyone had a reversal (colostomy) and what should I expect? I've been dependent on my appliance for almost 4-years,still have my accidents, but I have a lot of support from my family,friends and co-workers, I work for the police Dept and it is tough to get away and you know your bag is almost full. I have had my share of leaks but I always have clothing,soap,supplies,towel,air freshner etc. and I always have at least 7 disposable linners. But I also suffer from irritable bowel syndrome and with my job it's very hard not to suffer from severe diahrea especially when I am under a lot of stress, So are there any fellow ostomates who have had a reversal and how long est. do you get your muscle control back, being that you havent used that end for a while you tend to forget. Any advise or help from any one please if you can, please share your experience and your adjustment.
