There is an OTC cream call ILEX, that works wonders for me. I am not sure how it reacts with the fungal problem, but as far as skin breakdown is considered, it is an amazing and cheap product. Have you supply house order you a tube. It may even be covered by your insurance. Good luck.

I am 32 years old and I am new to this group, I have had my
colostomy for 6 years now and having skin problems. I need some
suggestions on how to get rid of antifungal yeast problem around my
stoma, it actually looks like a big rash, I talked to my octoligist
(if that is how you spell it)and she suggested going on special
antibiotics for 30 days, so I went to my doctor and he only was
willing to give me 3. i am going to go back to him tommorrow and see
if I can get 3 more but they are really expensive the last 3 cost me
55.00 and if I got 30 that would be 500.00, well needless to say I am
not that rich. I am trying tea tree oil so I will see how that goes
tonite. Does anyone know of anything herbal or something I can put on
it as i am getting tired of changing my appliance everyday.
Any Help is appreciated
Thanks
