Hi Sherabe,
I used to get really bad rashes to the point that it would bleed, my rash was around the stoma,I use an over the counter gel which you use very little of it and apply to the skin area, it dries to where it will not interfere w/your appliance not sticking,it's called carrington 'CARRASYN" it runs between 12-15 dollars and like I said you use very little if it. Another thing you can try is any type of powder that kills fungus, like desinex, golds bond, etc. it must say kill or control foot fungus or something to that effect, you sprinkle some on your skin, and a little on your stoma, you get a soft makeup brush and remove all the excess powder remember if you leave too much powder your appliance will never stick. If you use the powder you should only see a little bit of powder. I don't know if you have a fungus around your stoma (where you stick your appliance) or if it is actually on your stoma my doctor had me put my appliance on, I use a 2-pc. before i"d put the bag s
Let me know how it turns out, hope you'll get some relieve I know it's very uncomfortable, Good Luck///////

There is an OTC cream call ILEX, that works wonders for me. I am not sure how it reacts with the fungal problem, but as far as skin breakdown is considered, it...
