my dad is 55 and just had his rectum removed due to cancer resulting
in a colostomy. he is not quite 2 weeks post-op but is having major
problems. he is still in a lot of pain from the surgery and his
colostomy isn't working so they have been irrigating it. i'm very
worried about him. will it start working. can he continue
irrigating it. will the pain go away? we live in a pretty small
town, but he is reluctant to go elsewhere due to the fact that he
doesn't want to inconvenience his family. any comments or
suggestions would be appreciated.
