After reading your entry re Yahoo, are you sure you really want to adopt this
boy? If you already have done so, then maybe the surgery that you are having
him scheduled for will correct his condition if not greatly improve it. I,
myself, am a senior guy having had a permanent colostomy a little over 10 years
ago. With constant production of gas within a tightly sealed appliance the gas
will always manage to find (=force) its way out.
Besides post-op medical advice,get in touch with the nearest support group
which is a chapter of the United Ostomy Association. If you join, you will
automatically receive a subscription to the Ostomy Quarterly magazine, a "bible"
publication devoted 100% to ostomates.
