Coanon is a group of men and women who are in relationship with someone who has a se x and/or love addiction. This discussion list is open to anyone whose life has been affected by another person's compulsive se xual behavior. Partners, family members, friends of people addicted to se x and/or love can join this e-mail forum where we share our experience, strength and hope with one another. We can discuss our own se xual codependency and coaddiction, and gain support in dealing with someone else's obsessive/compulsive se xual behavior. We do not offer each other advice, but we do try to share information, support, and resources.

While we are *not* a 12-step group (like COSA-Codependents of Se x Addicts and S-Anon) or affiliated with any organization, we are loosely based on some basic 12 Step concepts, including a foundation of anonymity and focus on our own recovery rather than that of the addict's.

This list is closed for the group's safety. We use an application form to screen new members, and we provide guidelines for sharing. No one can subscribe without the list owner's approval, and group email can be received in individual posts or digest form.

If you are interested in joining our group:

1.Do **NOT** register or join via this yahoogroups page! If you wish to join, send a BLANK email to coanon-subscribe@sarr.org and an application, group description, and instructions will be sent to you.

We no longer reside on yahoogroups and NO activity takes place here. Therefore, you will NOT receive subscription via yahoogroups for ANY group communication, and your subscription request will be deleted. We encourage you to send an email as detailed above if you are seeking our support group.
