Dont worry, all of us want our children to be home with us and be safe, happy
and healthy.
But our children, as well as us, are very strong. Even when it seems like you
can't handle it anymore, you just do somehow and then everything is ok
afterwards. And we are here to talk about the journey of hip displaysia when you
need us.
Blessed Be - Joy & Serenity
(I was diagnosed with DDH in both hips at 6 months old, traction for 1 week,
closed reduction, spica cast for 6 months in 1983. Daughter, Serenity, diagnosed
at birth - Nov 2005 with DDH in left hip. 3 Pavlik harnesses, Rhino brace -
never used it. Open reduction with Pelvic & femoral osteotomy at 18 months,
spica cast for 3 months. X-ray on Oct 5th was excellent! Will be 2 in Nov 07)

Subject: [Clicky Hips Club] Thank you Nancy & Joy
Thank you ladies. Wow! This seems like a daunting ordeal. I want so
badly to help her. She's in China and we are trying to convince a Dr at
Riley's CHildren's Hospital in Indianapolis to write a letter to China
on her behalf. We would like her adoption expedited so that we can get
her treatment ASAP. But, I am a very active person who has children 8
& 9 years old. It's scary for me to be faced with the fact of a cast,
braces, etc. I want my little girl home and healthy! GRRR!
