Hi - Just wanted to give an update on Jessicas operation, which was
a week last Monday. As we had been told (but hadn't believed!!!!)
she has adapted so well.
She is really, really heavy now, and we have decided not to send her
back to nursery for the next 6wks (will then reconsider as hopefully
she'll just have another 6wks in plaster shorts). But she is too
awkward to handle for the girls at nursery, and we are not convinced
she would get the attention she really needs (also means we can
spend more time with her!!!)
We are so pleased how well she is adapting. She has also got her
first tooth through this weekend, so its all happening at once, but
Jessica has taken it totally in her stride!
Nappy changing was difficult to start with, but we're getting used
to turning her on her side & she now thinks its a big game!
We were so pleased with the hosptial here in Nottingham. They
adapted our pushchair & have lent us a hip spica table/chair which
has to be the best thing ever invented!!!!
The worst part was when she woke up for the GA, but that was only
really because she was so hungry! So I'll know next time to take a
bottle of milk to the recovery room!!!
Thanks,
Kate
PS: I have put a couple of pictures of Jessica in the 'photos'
section so you can see her cheerful face! xx
