Welcome to the group! I'm pleased to hear that Kacey is making progress in her
brace. Good Luck for your appointment next week and make sure you let us know
the outcome.

DDH can be hereditory, but more often these days it is in fact "developed". Do
you have a history of DDH/CDH in your family? We don't... Our only factors
were, first born, female, breech baby. I'm sure Shannon's x-ray will be fine.
I think you would know by now if she did have hip problems, but I commend your
consultant for taking the precaution to do the x-ray "just in case".

I'll keep my fingers crossed for both your little angels and look forward to
hearing your good news next week, but in the meantime open a bottle of wine and
relax!

Hi Everyone,

My Name is Zoe and I have 2 beautiful girls, Kacey is 13months and
Shannon is 3 1\2yrs.
Kacey was diagnosed with DDH in July this year and wears a brace,
she had a check-up in October and was making progress, she has
another appointment next week and hopefully we should have so more
good news.
Shannon is a typical 3 year old and loves to run, play and has a
better social life than me!. She met all her developmental goals on
time, if not early and has refused to go anywhere in a pushchair
since about 18months. Kacey's consultant has now asked to x-ray her
as DDH is hereditory, so she will be seen along with Kacey next
week. (cross your fingers for us guys, i am sure you all know the
worry we are going through at the moment).
Anyway, hope all your little angels are doing well
