Sorry for the delay in responding.... Welcome to the group. I'm sorry to here
that Naomi has CDH. Have you heard anything from the Orthopaedics Dept yet?
Please make sure Naomi is seen by a PAEDIATRIC Orthopaedic as childrens bones
are very different to adults.

Good luck and let us know how you get on and if you need any support or advise
in the meantime just ask.

Hello all
Sorry for my last message, I haven't used Yahoo groups before.
My name is Omiyominoo (OYN if you like). I have an 17-month-old daughter
called Naomi, who was diagnosed with CDH on Monday. She has been dragging her
foot since she was aournd 9 months, but we only got round to having her seen
properly on Monday. We're now waiting to hear from the Orthopaedics Dept here.
Am hoping the appt. comes through quickly. An x-ray revealed quite a big
dislocation on her left hip, so I am guessing that she will need to be operated
on.

Anyway - any words of advice and comfort would be greatly appreciated. Many
thanks in advance
