I would be worried as you are. A 1/2 mm change is really small. The
problem with DDH is that if you wait too long then the treatment gets more
complicated. I agree with Sara who asked if you could be seen by a ped
ortho. I know in our case we were misdiagnosed by an adult ortho. There
are so many subleties with DDH that unless the doctor has had training in
it, those things may be missed.

I would be nervous that someone else looked at an x-ray and noticed she has
something not quite right with her hips. Just my thoughts.

Hi Nancy

Thanks for replying to my message, my husband says i should just listen to the
doctor who knows best but ive just got this gut feeling something still isnt
right. The doctor at the childrens hosp dint actually see any x-ray she did a
physical exam?? which i guess makes it even worse really dosnt it if she can
feel something isnt right.

She is walking fine etc so does that mean shes ok or can children still need
treatment although they are walking.

I think im going to go to the consultation and depending on what the doc says i
will have her transfered to a ped ortho.

Do you know of anyone else that has had pavlik treatment then a break and still
needed treatmnt in the end.???
