Hi Shona,
Don't try to panic too much, it looks like they have found the
problem very early and this usually means that it is easier to treat .
My little boy was diagnosed at six weeks with shallow sockets even
though they assured me that to have another with CDH would be quite
rare ( older sister was diagnosed at 7mth). Phil wore his harness for
about 4 months and although it was a pain it was much better than
enduring months of pots and operations as we had to with Hatty.
Both my two are now fine. Hatty is nearly 5 and apart from her scar
you would never know there was anything wrong with her. and Phil runs
around like a nutty whirlwind.
Just keep the harness on she will soon get used to it and if your're
not happy keep pestering the hospital to get things right.
good luck
keep in touch
Alison

week now and has a further 9 weeks until (fingers crossed) it comes
off for good. I know very little about clicky hips apart from there
are children that are far worse that Sophie, but I would appreciate
your advice and support at this very scary time.
