I haven't been here for ages - since feb 2002. Just decided to take a
look & see how everyone's doing. Quick update from our end, Reubens
plaster came off in june '02, he didn't walk till just after
christmas last year and he's still pretty wobbly. Our last checkup at
Alder Hey in october didn't go so well, there had been no change in
the development of Bens hips since the previous appointment and we
were advised that once the hips reached a plateau they didn't tend to
show much improvement, which would then mean further surgery to put
pins in to encourage healthy hip formation. Obviously this is worse
case scenario and he's got until april for growth changes to begin,
so for now we're trying not to worry about it and just enjoying our
bouncy 2 year old chatterbox! I hope you are all well, I'm going to
