Re: Osteotomy Questions

Hi Susan, good to hear from you, and sooooo pleased that Jenna is
doing so well.
Georgia has started ballet and is loving it, seems to be doing her
the world of good too, her hip has become a lot more flexible over
the past couple of months, she too is walking and running really
well, she is almost as fast as her friends now.
Congratulations to Jenna on passing her ballet exam, I don't think
Georgia will be taking any exams for a while, they are still at
the 'running around like pink elephants', stage... very funny to
watch...
Georgia will be having her pins and plate out at the end of June,
haven't got a definate date through yet though. I'm really worried
about this one, Georgia was 3 in Feb and so now understands what is
going to happen and is worried about having an operation, of course
we are trying to make it sound like a positive experience but we
can't tell her that it won't be sore and uncomfy after the op as
don't want to lie to her. We have bought her a Barbie bike to try to
soften the blow, although she is now telling complete strangers that
her bike is a present for when she has her pins and plate taken out,
so of course they ask why, and I'm having to explain over and over
again...
Am also worried that she won't be able to go to playgroup, and
ballet, and swimming for a while, and will get bored.
Anyway, must go, Gems is waking up...
Take care
Love Jen
