Hi Susan
I think pins and plate are only used in femeural osteotomies,
Georgias pins and plate hold her leg together where they cut the bone
to shorten her leg, she also had a pelvic osteotomy at the same time
and this did not need pins and plate.
She had a check up yesterday and should be having her pins and plate
taken out at the end of June.
