Bowen's "Multi-Generational Approach" emphasizes: exploring patterns
from family of origin, extended family patterns, myths, rules,
differentiation of self, and triangulation.
"Classical Adlerian Family Therapy" works to: understand the style of
life of each family member, understand the interaction of these styles
of life, increase the social interest of each member, elicit a new
family value of mutual benefit, provide encouragement and insight, and
utlize a Socratic style of inducing awareness.
