Aloe Vera juice is contraindicated during pregnancy because of possible
stimulation of uterine contractions. Many laxatives may have this effect
because stimulating the bowels can stimulate the uterus, so be careful!
Fiber, on the other hand, softens stools rather than stimulating the bowel,
so should be safe.
I've personally noticed that liquid chlorophyll helps me "move things
along", and also supports healthy hemoglobin levels (the chlorophyll
molecule is nearly identical to hemoglobin and well used by the body). It
is often recommended for use during pregnancy by midwives, so it might meet
your needs well. I get liquid chlorophyll capsules.
