My nearly one year granddaughter Emma (she of the gastroschisis and VP
shunt)
just had a 20 minute seizure while they were at a LLL meeting. They are on
their way right now via paramedic ambulance to LeBonheur Children's
hospital.
The EMTs were able to get the seizure stopped with a valium
suppository and they
were able to get an IV in, and Jess (my daughter) was able to keep
Emma from
aspirating when Emma vomited. This is really scary as it was out of
the clear
blue and she has never seized before.
