I second the thought that you don't know how long any particular cycle will
be until it's over. Between our first and second I had just shy of 17
months of LAM, one cycle with a very short luteal phase (5 days if I'm
remembering correctly), and was able to coneceive the next cycle. Between
our second and third I again had just shy of 17 months of LAM, one cycle
with a 6 day luteal phase, and we received an extra holiday blessing and
conceived on Christmas Eve the next cycle. If I had been looking at the
leangth of the luteal phase for those returning fertility cycles and basing
decisions on that, we would have had a false understanding of things.
Instead we hoped and prayed for new life and have been greatly blessed both
times.
