Thanks for the tip, Michelle. Actually I didn't intend for it to be
*permanently* automatic, but I wanted it to be automatic for the next couple of
weeks so that everyone on the old list could move over easily. Because of your
warning, I'll probably turn the automatic signup off sooner than I would have

As the moderator of the NFP-FAM group on yahoo, I wouldn't recommend that.
We tried open subscription, but found we got hit with a lot of
inappropriate messages, so we had to go to a situation where everyone is
moderated until their first post, at which point I switch them over to
full posting status.
