As always, the CINNFP list will remain a "Catholic" list (that is, we will take
it for granted that posters to the list have some understanding of and respect
for Catholic doctrine regarding sexuality, marriage, sacraments, etc.) and
promotion of heresy will not be tolerated, as it was not when the list was
hosted on CIN. (Note to Don: Have you got a copy somewhere of CIN's rules for
their discussion groups? I could use it in developing a new set for the new
list.)
Again as always, the list will be open to Catholics as well as to non-Catholics
who discourse respectfully about Catholic teaching. It must remain a valuable
resource and a witness to anyone who comes in good faith and who has interest in
Natural Family Planning.
The offtopic list, if we create one (it looks like a good idea to me) will be
somewhat more lax in rules. We haven't *needed* any rules so far over there,
actually, as far as I can see. Again, I ask everybody's patience with all
topics for a few days (let me get past the holiday weekend) and we'll straighten
everything out... it was kind of a surprise to have the list land in my lap, and
I am happy to serve as moderator, but I need a few days. :-) For those of you
who don't know me and are worried the list will lose its Catholic identity, I
think Don can vouch for me. ;-)

I just joined here because we were told the CINNFP list is shutting
down. I'd also like to put in a BIG vote for a Catholic-specific
list. It's disheartening to discuss/read about infertility issues
that are not Catholic oriented. I am willing to head up such a list
if necessary.
