Hi everyone,
Whew. I just got done with a whole lot of e-mailing. OK, this is
*especially* for everyone who's belonged to this yahoo list for
longer than the last 48 hours.
In case you haven't heard yet, CIN is cancelling all their discussion
groups, including the "mother" of this one,
CINNFP@... . At
least for the time being, *this list* is going to be the new home of
the "main" CINNFP list. It's the quickest way to serve the people
who are losing the CIN list. So in the next few days, expect to see
a jump in membership. Don Schloeder (the moderator on the other
list) and I are going to try to get a list of email addresses
currently subscribed to the CIN list, so that we can make sure
everybody who wants to gets moved over.
I want to ask everybody to be patient for a few weeks. For now, feel
free to continue the offtopic discussions as well as welcoming the
ontopic ones from members who are just now moving over from CIN.
Second, I want to hear from those who have been members of THIS
OFFTOPIC LIST ON YAHOOGROUPS for a while. Should I create another
yahoogroups list called cinnfp-offtopic, and try to recreate the
offtopic list there? I have all your addresses, I know who you are,
and I would be willing and able to do so, but I want to know if you
think this is a good idea or if it's not necessary. The reason we
set this up in the first place was just so we could share photos,
which we couldn't do at CIN, but obviously it's become a comfy, small
discussion list for all kinds of stuff, and that will probably have
to change now (because this list will have to fulfill the very
important role that the main list did, namely, being the *premier*
mail list on the internet for actually having useful information
about NFP from the Catholic perspective.)
Let me know on list.
Erin
