"During the days of Jesus' life on earth, He offered up
prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the
One Who could save Him from death, and He was
heard because of His reverent submission."
(Hebrews 5:7 NIV)
Tests...tests....medical procedures....doctor's visits....
sometimes it seems like it will never end. Have you
ever felt that your life seems to be going well, or
rather, better than usual, when all of a sudden,
someone puts a fork up in that road of chronic
illness and pain to change the direction your life
seems to be going in? Have you been there? Are
you there now?
What do you do when you are faced with the unknown?
Do you panic? Do you cry.....or do you lash out in
pain and anger? What do you do when you find that
your life seems totally out of control? Answer: Pray.
Pray that God will wrap you in His Sovereign grace to
get you through each day. We must always remember
that Jesus was heard by His Father, the LORD God
Almighty due to His reverent submission. Jesus clothed
Himself in Prayer. When things were going well, He prayed
and praised God. When there was pain or strife, He prayed.
Jesus was in constant communication with His Father, God.
Recently I was watching, Reverend Charles Stanley on
"In Touch Ministries" and he said something that has
helped me face my future and medical procedures and
tests that I am facing. Pastor Stanley said, "When your
life seems to spiral out of control, remember this, God is
Sovereign, He knows your future and is in control of
your life." The only thing we need to do is to pray and
give our life back to God. God's grace will sustain us.
"....but those who hope in the LORD will renew their
strength." (Isaiah 40:31 NIV)
Humble yourself before God's mighty throne. Drop
to your knees and pray for God's unending mercy
and grace to sustain you in your time of need. He is
there....waiting for you. Won't you come to God today?
God's Blessings.
