"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim
the work of His hands." (Psalm 19:1 NIV)
I was lying in my bed and I heard this whimpering sound. I
realized it was my cat snoring. I took my pillow and
rested next to him, watching his face up close. I listened
to him snore and watched his face twitch from some intense
dream. I also saw his eyelashes; I did not know cats had
eyelashes! How amazing God made my kitty.
Another day I was getting tired while we were talking with
some people outside. I leaned against the wall and there
was this little bug, fly like, but not so ugly. He caught
my eye because he was cleaning himself. His little
tentacles were going over his head. He was doing this over
and over. My brain fog left me overwhelmed from talking,
watching this bug clean itself allowed me to focus on that
and calm me down.
I was at a pastor's conference. My husband was with the
pastors and I was asked to go out with the pastor' wives,
but I was just not feeling well. I went back to my room
to relax. I was starting to feel a little sorry for myself.
I went to sit by the window which overlooked a pretty pond.
I noticed these ducks; it was a mommy duck and her babies.
They were swimming behind their momma, than they followed
her along the side of the lake. They were so cute with
their little puffed hair.
Later we were heading out for dinner and my pastor was
saying how busy he has been, going from one meeting to
another. I said, "Let me show you a momma duck and her babies,"
he said,"Oh how cute, I did'™t notice how pretty it is here."
I realized at that moment that God knew I had to rest, but
He knows it can make me sad. He opened my eyes big enough to
see all the little things. God's creations! If I was well I
would have never taken this time to see all the beauty in
this world, the simplicity. At that moment, I whispered to
God, "Thank You, I got it! I see it!"
