"'Forget the former things; do not dwell
on the past. See I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive
it? I am making a way in the desert and
streams in the wasteland.'"
Isaiah 43:18,19 NIV
Living with chronic illness can be so difficult!
Sometimes we dwell on how our lives used to be.
(At least I know I do)! I remember my life
when chronic pain was not an issue in my life.
I remember not being on so many medications, for
my heart and bipolar disorder. I actually counted
them yesterday and I take 14 different medications
every day! Six of them are for my bipolar disorder
and the other 8 are for my heart disease! That does
not even include the vitamin and mineral supplements
I take!
Even though we may long for our bodies and our mind
to be the way it used to be before chronic illness
and pain entered our lives, God has told us that
He is making a new thing in our lives....He is
transforming us, day by day! When I think of
transformation, I invision myself as a caterpillar
inside a cocoon, waiting to come forth as a butterfly.
Change can be a scary thing. We do not know what
will transpire in our lives. Yet God has said, "'Do
not be afraid, for I am with you'" Isaiah 43:5 NIV
In the midst of our transformation, God is with us. "Now
the dwelling of God is with (you) and He will live with
(you). (You) will be His people, and God Himself will be
with (you) and be (your) God"....."He who is seated on
the throne said, 'I am making everything new!'"
Revelations 21:3,5 NIV
Have faith beloved! Cling to Jesus and let Him transform
you, day by day! Jesus is with you, there is no need to
fear. "'And surely I am with you always to the very end
of the age.'" Matthew 28:20 NIV
May the peace that only Jesus can bring, be with you always.
God's Blessings.
