Jeremy,
The symptoms you describe about your right nostril being stuffy and pain
like a knife in the right eye are classic and well documented symptoms for
cluster headaches. Cluster headaches are treated differently than migraine.
Sometimes inhaling pure oxygen can help this type of headache. Cluster
headaches are more prevalent in men than in women and come in clusters or
groups for several weeks or days and then may disappear for a while. You
need to see a headache specialist or neurologist with a specialty in
headache. I too had sinus surgery about 8 years ago that did absolutely
nothing to help my daily headaches. I have read that people with sleep
disorders also have a high incidence of headache. The National Headache
Foundation website may help you find a doctor in your area that specializes
in treating headache. Good Luck to you.
