Subject: HELP I NEED ADVICE FOR MY ICE PICK HEADACHES



hi all
I am new to the group and for many years i have been getting pains
on either
my left or right side of my head that feels like a knife or real
sharp pains
and like my head is going to explode. The pains do not last very
long at all
a few secs or so and then sometimes the pain comes back again and
again and
sometimes only once or so. So i went to a Nerologist and he did all
kinds of
test on me from MRIS to EEGs and all and found nothing he said i am
getting
Ice Pick headaches. So he tried me on many meds and many diff times
like
paxil zoloft, seroquel xanax klonpin wellbutrin etc. and none of
them helped
it just made me feel terrible. Then i went to another dr and he
tried
adderall then dexedrine and that did not help either. Then i went to
another
doc and he tried Depakote and that did not help either. Then i went
back to
him yesterday and he told me to try Neurontin. I have never taken
that
before have any of you i dont know much about the drug excpet for
what i
read about it on the net. I dont want it to make me sick at all.
Have any of
you tried Neurontin and has it helped u . And or what have u all
been on
that helped and has anyone of you had ice picked headaches and do
you know
what causes it
