Carolyn (nice name - same as my wife's)
I take Paxil. Don't know if it helps headache but now I no longer get claustrophobic in airplanes.
The last ENT I saw, who couldn't find anything wrong with my sinuses, advised against the surgery. He said there was only about a 30% chance of success and many of those were only partial. The rest of the paitents get nothing more than a really rough recovery. I took his advice.
Blood pressure has been a problem in recent years bouncing all over the place. At least now it's just high (really high) but that seems to be easier to treat. I find I have better headache days when bp is near normal. Hopefully this may be part of the solution... not that I'm really expecting one after all these years and all the docs and meds but one can't stop hoping or there's nothing left.

I've had CDH for about 17 years. Unfortunately I don't have any great
suggestions for you. I had sinus surgery about 10 years ago and it didn't
help at all with the headaches. It was a very painful recovery and I'm sorry
I did it. The ENT of course thought it would fix my headache problem. I
think it actually made it worse. I wouldn't recommend it. I've tried many
other meds and procedures like everyone else. I take norgesic forte which
helps some in addition to the Zoloft. Are you on an antidepressant? It's
usually standard procedure for CDH. I had to quit my full time job as a
graphic designer which I loved. Good Luck to you and all of us.
