Hello,
I am a 31 year old woman who is Disabled in various ways. One part
of my pain in which I have been unable to reduce is my Chronic Daily
Headaches.
My Pain Management Doctor is interested in giving me injections in
the back of my head. It seems to be one of the VERY few days a month
in which I do not have a headache, and he refuses to give the
injection without me having symptoms.
Does anyone have experience with such injections? If so, do they
tend to last for a short or long period of time? Are they effective,
or not worth the hassle?
Besides CDH, I have a myriad of conditions which attribute to my
Disability.
I have Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Sacroiliitis,
Degenerative Disc Disease, Several Herniated Discs with other damage,
such as narrowing, spurs, and several issues in and near the spinal
column. I also deal with Fibromyalgia, Myofascial Pain Syndrome,
Myotonia Tarda, Narcolepsy, IBS-D (And being researched currently for
other digestive disorders, as I do not retain vitamins and such),
Various other things, as well as Severe Anxiety/Panic attacks,
Bipolar.. Malignant Hyperthermia, TMJ, Hypothyroid, Hashimoto's
Disease, High Blood Pressure..
Sorry for the length of that.
Anyway, I use a power chair to get around..
I have found Doctors and treatments for most of my conditions,
although I am still stuck with my Chronic Daily Headaches without
relief! They are of the severity of Migraine/Cluster level at
times.. and other times, they remind me of tension headaches. I have
them at least 20 days out of the month.
There can be periods of time where I have them for months in a row
with NO relief.
I will be reading through the former posts, links and such here.. and
I hope to find some resources.
Take care,
~Heather
