I take zyrtc D for my allergies. I'm allergic to trees, mold, dust
mites and cat dander. I have two cats and live in a tree hugger
neighborhood. *L* Dust and mold are pretty much a given. I think
you can't really truly get rid of them. I am supposed to take shots
but they made me feel worse. Of course, all of my testing and meds
are done with insurance. If I didn't have it, I wouldn't do it so I
understand waiting for the insurance to kick in. One office visit
would probably wipe me out entirely. When I can't get the zyrtec, I
buy sudafed and benedryl and they help me through the bad days.
I used to live in a basement apartment with foundation leaks
(mold). My roommate and I were constantly sick and I used to take
double the dose of my allergy med. plus double whatever pain
reliever I had at the time. I have no doubt mold can cause chronic
headaches and migraines and I hope that once your insurance kicks
in, you can get something for it. People without allergies could
never understand how badly they can affect you.
The sleep study might not be a bad idea. Snoring is a big predictor
but I think people can have apnea even when they don't snore. My
doc wants me tested too so I've read up on it a bit and its
surprising what it can do to a person over time. If your future
insurance covers it, what can it hurt to let them wire you up for
sound and watch you?
