I went to a neurologist finally after years with no relief. He did the injections in the back on my head and they didn't work. All they did is make your head numb for a day. He was shocked that they didn't help me. He said that he has never had a pt. that it didn't atleast relief the pain some. Then he put me on Topamax, which did not touch my headaches at all. However, it is a great drug for weight loss. I lost 6 lbs. in the 4 weeks that I was taking it. I am now on Neurotin 600 mg and it has helped tremendously. I only get headaches about twice a week now and they are nowhere near as painful as they used to be. I hope this will help someone. Take care, HOlly

The reason is probably that no one has much to report. We all get
headaches and we all get them on a regular basis. Unfortunately, no
one has posted a solution, but we're all waiting for that to happen.
My doc insists that I must have migraines because no one can diagnose
anything else. So, he keeps treating them as such. I get the "drug
of the month" from him (at least he has samples) and he always seems
suprised that the latest one didn't work either.
So, I continue to live on pain pills; vicoden, ultram, percocet and
ibuprofen. I also lie down in a dark quiet room with an ice pack at
least once a day. Bourbon also seem to help...
If anyone has any suggestions, we would all be interested.
