Hi. I am a 29-year-old female and throughout my life, I thought I
was pretty "normal" as far as not being sick. After reading some of
your messages, I took a closer look at everything in my own life, I
was wondering if my problems are somehow related to each other. I
was wondering if anyone out there has had similar experiences as well.

I have had headaches and earaches since elementary school.
In 1991 and 1992, and 1996, I had mono-nucleuses. The doctors told
me that you can only get it once but kept diagnosing me with it just
the same. Since 1991, I have required more sleep than the normal
person to function.
In 1993, I had TMJ arthroscopic surgeries on both sides of my jaw but
the headaches never went away.
In 1997, my back started bothering me in my shoulder and moved from
my shoulder to my neck, upper back, middle back, and even lower
back. I went to several places but I grew frustrated and quit going
all together. Plus, at the time, we were focused on my husband's
medical needs.
In the summer of 2003, I kept getting sinus infections due to my
allergies so now I take weekly allergy shots to try to alleviate my
headaches.
In the spring of 2004, I went back to the chiropractor and am getting
weekly treatments.
However, I cannot deal with the pain as easily as I could before
because now I have a three year old, a husband with three diseases
(but is doing OK), a 4-hour commute, and I am taking college courses
over the web trying to get my degree.
I get an average of 4-5 hours of sleep (unless it is the weekend when
I get about 8-9 hours). This is because I get up at 3am, work from
6:30-5:00, and get home at 7pm. By the time I get home and get
everyone settled, it is at least 10:00pm!
Right now, my problems are my tension and migraine headaches, lack of
sleep, earaches, TMJ, and neck, shoulder, upper, middle, and lower
back problems.
I currently take a multi-vitamin, Axid, Zoloft, Zyrtec, and various
other headache medicines.
