A support resource for adults with chronic or acute physical pain problems. Emphasis is placed on helping to cope and "have a life."

We are an inclusive group and offer our support to vision impaired members, who also have chronic pain. So, as a sighted person, please be prepared to follow some basic posting rules. Please read the posting guidlines in our file section, before you send in your first post.

This is a private peer-to peer group list open to anyone with chronic pain and closed to *all* others. No political, religious, or commercial posts of any kind are allowed. Anyone who joins our group for the purpose of selling or promoting a product will be immediately banned.

Conditions that create chronic or acute pain can include, but are not limited to: Arthritis, CFS - Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Cancer, RSD - Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, FMS - Fibromyalgia Syndrome, amputation, back, hip, and other skeletal problems.

The 'Chronic Pain' group is a fully Moderated list. Every post is cleared through a moderator, before it is allowed on the list. The moderators are a group of people who have a variety of chronic pain illnesses and other disabilities. We work very hard to keep our list in its stated format. Should you want to promote another pain group please contact the moderators first and ask permission.

Of Note: Our current group moderators are Lynne, Kaylene, Cheryl, and Laura. We also have background assistance from Abilities Unlimited Disability Services, when it is needed. The original group owner, Ken Turbin, died in 2002. Ken worked hard to make this list strong and supportive. We honour his memory by continuing to keep it that way.
