Since leaving Beike i have pondered what to do with this group.
There is no one within the company who is wanting to keep a group of
this nature up and running. I have however been reluctant to just
shut it down but with the posting of a couple of recent questions by
memebers who did not know I was no longer with beike I can see that
leaving it open will lead to misunderstanding about my current role
in the stem cell world. To avoid that I have been feeling that it
would be best to close the group. This group only has about 340
members which makes it one of my smaller groups and at this point
there are not many posts being made. This leads me to think that
closing it will have little impact provided the members have another
option to recieve basic stem cell information.
I do have another group that you can join if you wish to stay in
touch with me and with the other memebrs of this group. Stem cell
Safety is a yahoo group I started two and a half years ago. It
currently has about 420 members thus would be able to absorb members
from this group easily.
I know that some of you here are already members of stem cell safety
but for those of you who are not I would like to extend an invitation
to you to join.
The link to the home page is; http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/stemcellsafety/
Please request membership to stem cell safety and stay in touch with
me on that board. It does have a broader base of information as it
is not limited to information just about Beike and China. For some
of you it may end up being a better fit. See you there.
I will give it some time before I formally close this group to allow
everyone to download this message and make the change.
Thank you,
Kirshner
