sbasile1955,
We arrived in Shenyang a week ago and, after wondering what would happen, are now quite settled and already into a routine, so our concerns have been answered.
Medically they have taken care of us with twice daily physical therapy, once daily acupuncture, stem cell injections about each 6 days or so and periodic visits from the doctors.
Administratively you can withdraw local currency from the ATM in the hospital here or any Bank of China or many other banks in the country. The language is a problem but the folks are extremely patient; the electronic translator (Google "electronic translator Chinese") is well worth the $90 or so. The Beike folks have made the transition extremely easy, meeting us and holding us by the hand to get us to the correct place with Chinese guides who speak English.
What other questions do you have?
