I know this sounds cold and callous, but I have been
in that situation myself. One thing I have learned
from the system is to NEVER call Department of
Children Services on your ex. You have someone else
do it. If they find the case not indicated it goes on
record that you called. Too many of those calls and
they threaten you with jail for making false
allegations. Please let us know the outcome of your
case based on your call. It wouldn't be interesting
to know. I live in IL where it is the "good old boys
club" and even with abuse staring them in the face,
they deny anything ever happened. Thus making the
mother look crazy. I know, been there done that.
