I am authorized 2 phone calls a week for 15 minutes. My mom has my
daughter now so I know she is safe and I know the address and phone
number of where she is. Both of my older kids are in long term foster
care and I have the baby. I am only authorized 2 1 hour visitation
supervised per month. We went to court to get more and that's all I
got. I am not authorized to have the phone number of the fosters or to
send them anything. The things that I send them have to go though the
sw first. CRAZY. I have never talked directly to the fosters of my son
and that makes me freeked because that could mean they are thinking
about adoptng him and he never seeing me again till he's 18 or in his
case probably older because he is autistic. It makes me sad everyday.
My son that is home with me asks everyday where his brother and sister
are. Rips my heart out every time he asks, a constant reminder that
they are in foster care. What can I do to get them out of LONG TERM
FOSTER CARE? thanks!
