I open by saying, from experience, that Social
Services is an institution that is governed solely by
money. More children adopted means more Federal money.
They get more money for an adoption than they do if
they reunite chidren with their rightful parents. The
bottom line IS the bottom line. People that put off
having children to load up their bank accounts are now
circling along with Social Servics like the vultures
they are, waiting for parents to screw up. No matter
what they parents try to do to rectify things and get
back on the correct path. The system is geared for the
parents to fail. On top of all that, family Court is
set up in Social Services favor from the start. If you
were a convicted murderer, would you want your fate
decided by a jury? Or would you rather the opposing
lawyers have only the judge to convince? The judge in
Family Court is one the Social Services knows will
take their side. Count the Social Services victories
aginst parental victories. And 99% of all cases that
go to family court are parents that cannot afford
decent lawyers, so they have to have court-appointed
lawyers. You get what ou pay for there, too. Crap.
Taking children from their parents and "selling" them
to "deserving" foster parents has become a cash cow
for the states. And it is accelerating at an alarming
pace. It HAS to be stopped.
