Hi and thank you for having me here. I'm Joy, 48 yr old grandmother to
Avery who made 15 months yesterday. We live on the so-called beautiful
island of Oahu, Hawaii. To me it's not so beautiful since Avery was
taken by cps from my daughter on August 4th. I've been so devastated
since cps got involved and am so upset that he was removed. My
daughter has some anger problems and she had blown up at the home
based assistant twice, and twice was the last straw. CPS asked her to
come to the office with Avery, I was there also with my son, and
Avery's daddy and they were told at that time that they needed to sign
a voluntary removal, and if they refused then they would call the cops
to have baby removed from them. Well, of course they signed the forms
and cps hasn't given them any kind of written documents or letters
which I heard should be done. I wanted to take him in but they told
me that I would have to become a licensed foster parent and they've
been giving me the run around.
