my friend was convicted of attempted assault 3rd degree he hit his
15 year old daughter she went to emergency room.Was examined and
released to friends.He went the next day to sherrifs dept turned
himself in and explained they were in the middle of a family brawl
and the daughter was hitting her dad and he lost it and hit her. All
over her boyfriend.Cps removed the daughter and he is charged in both
criminal court and FC.He is angry and the caseworker is mad they say
hes blaming her and hes not taking responsibilty for his behavior.I
do not believe he will comply with counsiling.Hes very stubborn and
tells me his wife is moving out with daughter but I know this is not
what anyone wants.What does cps do when a dad relinquishes custody of
his child? What comes next, what kind of questions does cps ask your
teenagers because Im sure she said some blingers that night she was
so angry with her Dad.I believe he deserves some consequences for
this behavior but not to completely ruin his family.He says to me
they want me to bow down and admit I am a child abuser over a one
time incident. And he gets madder. I am looking for some advice.His
daughter has been at a friends for 3 months now and he has not been
to FC yet. CPS has only talked to him 2x and has not visited their
home.What does cps look at in the home?Maybe since I am a friend on
their side I can help advice them alittle because cps is the enemy to
them now and he seems to be just digging his own grave. Thanks any
