Subject: [PoliticallyActiveDads] Update # 1: Fathers March Internationally
Please distribute widely!!!
Hello everyone,
Fathers in the US with the "Fathers' Integrity & Rights Movement" (FIRM) and in Canada with "Poltically Active Dads" http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/politicallyactivedads/ will start a "March for Solidarity" on Mothers Day, May 8, 2005. This year, we want to bring attention to the plight of non-custodial mothers, grandmothers, as well as non-custodial fathers, their children and grandchildren, worldwide. Every child deserves, both parents! And, both paternal and maternal grandparents!
We are looking to fathers and grandfathers in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, the the UK, and elsewhere to join hands with us. Plan your own "March" on Mothers Day, May 8, 2005 for international media attention!
American fathers and Canadian fathers will meet on the international "bridges", linking our two countries, from Washington and British Columbia, through New York State and Ontario, to Maine and New Brunswick.
In Canada, our March will end in Ottawa, on June 4, 2005 which is International Kid's Day. A demonstration will be held that day, on Parliament Hill.
"Kids need their dads too..day!" is the theme of the event.
I will be marching over 250 miles from Toronto, to Parliament Hill in Ottawa. My "March' will last for 17 days, at 17 miles per day; to mark each of the 17 years that I have lost with my daughters, Nicole, Lara and Cristina.
At the New York and Ontario border, I will meet with one lone father from the US, under the flags of the United Nations, the United States, and Canada.
Please join me, and let's walk a mile together!
In Solidarity,
Wayne Cook
Father of Nicole, Lara & Cristina..Denied for 17 years!
P.S. You are invited to join "Politically Active Dads!"
Please show your support for Canadian fathers by joining "Politically Active Dads", today!
A national election is expected in 2005, and Dads are working hard to "rally the troops"!
Thank you for your kindness.
