SHINE THE SPOTLIGHT OF SHAME ON CPS!
What is a cyber-protest?
A cyber-protest is a letter which is sent to senators, congressmen,
governors, mayors, American civil liberties unions, human rights
organizations and the press in your city, county or state. The
letters are sent via e-mail or fax and are designed to draw
attention to families who are being treated unfairly by child
protective services.
Yahoo groups provide the perfect platform for cyber-protests.
Hundreds of people gather there. Similar to signing on-line
petitions, group members use either the standard form letter
provided or create their own letter including the cc: at the bottom
of the letter which contains the links to e-mail addressees. Then,
start sending.
This is not a substitute for parents taking an active role in their
own defense. This is a tool to draw attention to the plight of
families being destroyed by CPS. The cc: on the cyber-protest shows
the names of all the individuals and organizations to which the
letters are being sent and creates a system of accountability.
Those involved in family destruction will hear from these
individuals and organizations and will not be sure who is watching
them.
The letters do not need to be sent to CPS, do not need to be signed
by family members and can be sent anonymously if desired. The
important thing is numbers. We need to send out as many e-mail
letters as possible to draw attention to the problems with CPS.
