I remember when my ex A was that way (he still is but I don't have to live with
him) I found that the best thing to do in order to keep my serenity was get out
of the home for a couple of hours. Take a walk, go window shopping anything
that got me out of the home for a while. When I got back he was still in his
mood the only difference was that I wasn't going to take it. When I got back I
usually ended up in another area of the apartment doing what I wanted to do.
It isn't worth smashing things take a deep breath and walk away for a few hours.

Do you know what I am so sick of the attitude of the alcoholic in my life. He is
sober but he is being a royal pr**k (do not mean to offend anybody) We are happy
on his terms. If he is in a bad mood that that's ok, I have to tip toe around. I
have to pander to his needs, moods, whims and ego!! I am so sick of him. Do not
have the capacity right now to humbly ask anything of anybody. I just want to
smash stuff!!!!!
