Understandable; I feel something like that as well because I am a caretaker,
always wanting to mother or fix things that are wrong. I think I am not alone
in saying that healthy women welcome the idea of a man strong enough to seek
help and that they are not broken but intelligent and honest for seeking the
help to make their life better with or without the support of a woman in their
life.

There are many more men around who suffer from alcoholic circumstances. For many reasons, we don't want to appear "broken" and certainly won't ask for help....
