We used to have online meetings in the group chatroom , but Yahoo did away
with group chatrooms , so we no longer have them . We just use the message
board to communicate . you can post here anytime you like .
Sadly the only one who can help the alcoholic recover is the Alcoholic
, Alanon is to help you recover from the Alcoholic .
There are books that expain the 12 steps and the principals of Alanon
better than i could . you can try Amazon.com for books .

I was reading through some of your posts and they read just like my
life. I'm sure we all go through very similar steps/series of events
as watch our loved ones destroy everything we have spent a lifetime
trying to build. Now that Family and Friends have been estranged, I
need to help my children, as well as myself, come to understand this
monster that has been let out of the bottle. Maybe, help my wife
recover. We have been living and fighting this for only a couple of
years, just a drop in the bucket compared to some of your letters.

Just to let you know, I'm not as gloomy as my screen name and e-mail
implies. It's not my life that's a deadend, just my job.
